With the rapid development of mobile Internet and the smart phone application more and more, mobile data volume increase sharply. In order to guarantee the stable operation of the data network, that network monitoring and statistical analysis of the data business are facing problems to be solved for China Mobile Communication Corporation.The purpose of this paper is to design a network traffic statistics analysis system for a China Mobile Communication Corporation. With the system, the network maintenance personnel can monitor and maintain data network equipment, analysis data to ensure the stable operation of data network. Network traffic statistical analysis system consists of five parts, data acquisition, protocol analysis, IP traffic analysis and statistics, signature extraction, and business flow statistic. Data acquisition function based on the Gb interface, sampling cycle is10to60minutes adjustable and acquisition time is1-5minutes adjustable, saving in the format of PCAP. Protocol analysis function is to take apart the basic information from the data packets of the PCAP format, such as PCU IP, SGSN IP, business IP and net load data. IP traffic analysis statistics function is to classify the IP information to get statistics the total frequency and sending and receiving data of PCU and SGSN IP packet. With the result, maintenance personnel can monitor network according to the change of equipment operation data, the market developers can set up the business plan according to the distribution of the data flow to by IP business statistical analysis. Protocol signature extraction function is to pick up net load agreement signature by the ideas of association rule. Firstly, dig up a fixed position of frequent episodes of n items. Then filter out the maximum frequent set of a fixed position from the redundant frequent sets. At last, find the association rules of maximum frequent sets, multi-signature. Business flow statistic function based on the library of regular expression signature, classifies protocols by matching the net load of data packets with the regular expressions signature and then makes a statistics of the amount of data and its proportion of occupied. Finally, this system adopts VS2008as a development platform, VC++as development language, database using SQL Server2008.The network traffic statistical analysis system realized in the paper had been tested in a China Mobile Communication Corporation. Data collected based on the Gb interface were analyzed by the system. Statistical analysis results show that the system can get the statistics of IP sending and receiving data from PCU and SGSN by hour, day or month, the distribution of data flow and distribution proportion of Business flow type, achieving the design requirements of the mobile company.
