In recent years, with the decline in the price of the vehicle, the competition between industries, the increase in raw material prices and the impact of the international giants, China’s automobile parts enterprises are facing unprecedented pressures and challenges. Logistics is the third profit source, and it is imminent for automobile parts enterprises to reduce logistics costs and improve logistics efficiency. Automobile Parts Logistics Center is the inevitable choice of automobile parts logistics, and it is a modern integrated logistics system combining the transportation, storage, handling, processing, packaging, distribution and logistics information and other functions. The effective realization of the function of automobile parts logistics center mainly depends on the wise ribbon layout and location assignment. It is of great significance to reduce logistics costs, improve operational efficiency and meet customer needs using appropriate methods to guide the planning and construction of automobile parts logistics center and achieving the optimal layout of various functional areas and the optimal allocation of cargo space.This thesis studys the overall layout and storage location optimization of automobile parts logistics center. First, we introduces the function and the operating procedures of automobile parts logistics center, and makes a thorough analysis of overall layout optimization in aspects of the layout elements, layout type and objectives, and also makes a detailed analysis of the problem of storage location optimization from the characteristics of the goods, the storage form of cargo space layout type, storage strategy, optimization objectives and principles. Then on the basis of the foregoing analysis, this paper focuses on how to establish the model and how to design the algorithm for the problem of overall layout and cargo space allocation optimization. In the field of the overall layout optimization, the mathematical model is established with the multi-objective concerning minimizing the material handling costs, maximizing the degree of activity relation and maximizing area utilization requirements with the unfixed position of the entrance, exit and the I-type main aisle. Besides, an improved genetic algorithm is put forward which includes improved encoding and decoding, modification operation, and design on the fitness function in penalty function strategy. In the field of the storage location assignment optimization, we consider the three principle:goods with higher frequency out of the warehouse and larger quantity being closer to the door, minimum the shelf center of gravity and the same goods being in the adjacent space. And we also establish a multi-objective mathematical model concerning minimizing the mean material handling distance and minimizing the gravity center of shelf and design its genetic algorithm including encoding, decoding, modification operation and fitness function. Finally, this thesis describes the system configuration, and also achieves the algorithms. At the same time wo actual experiments are illustrated to verify the great performance of the proposed algorithms. The result has shown that the solutions are able to solve practical problems in the overall layout and cargo space allocation optimization of automobile parts logistics center.
