| PT visual turntable is an electromechanical workbench which can rotate on horizontal axis and vertical axis, therefore it is called PT two-dimensional visual turntable. It has wide applications in the military, education and many other areas. For example, in the military it can be used as a test platform for the development of missiles and other high-tech weapons and in the education it also can be used as the experimental platform for the research of image and control algorithms.PT visual turntable algorithms can be divided into two parts. The first part is a study of image processing algorithms. In this part, we mainly focus on target tracking algorithms which can recognize target in every frame accurately. The later one is a study of control algorithms. In this part, we need to research control algorithms which are robustness and quickness and can quickly and robustly have the turntable arrived at the position it want to be. In this paper, we would address the first part. The rest of this paper is organized as follows:First, briefly introduce the structure and working principle of PT visual turntable.Second, present and summarize image processing algorithms of PT visual turntable applied.Then, propose a SIFT features based target tracking algorithm and describe the principle of this algorithm involved and verify the effectiveness of this algorithm through experiment and analysis and summary this algorithm.Finally, present a combing background information (background-weighted histogram) Mean-shift target tracking algorithm. The same structure of explanation of SIFT features based target tracking algorithm, describe the principle of this algorithm and verify the effectiveness of this algorithm and ultimately analysis and outlook. |
