Ultra-wideband wireless communication is a major breakthrough in the field ofcommunications today, because of its high transmission rate and low powerconsumption, transmission of the information is reliable and secure. The moreimportant is that it able to share the existing bandwidth of the narrowbandcommunication without mutual influence, with many of the advantages, the UWBwireless communication has become a hot research in the technology. However, dueto the very wide bandwidth of the UWB signal, usually more than10GHz, this makesthe design of UWB receiver of the analog to digital converter(ADC) unit is moredifficult, it is difficult to achieve in current hardware technology.The compressed sensing theory has provided an opportunity to resolve thisproblem in recent years, it is a whole new different from the traditional Nyquistsampling theorem theory, the sampling and the compression of the signal at the sametime, and can reconstruct the original signal from a small number of sampling pointsin certain conditions, it greatly reduces the cost of the sampling and calculation. Thepremise of using the CS theory is the signal has a sparse or signal is compressible.Due to the UWB signal has a natural sparsity and the channel of UWB is naturalsparse, the CS theory can be effectively used for UWB system. In this paper, weapplied the CS theory in UWB system, and using the different CS reconstructionalgorithm for UWB channel estimation, and then proposed an improved OMPreconstruction algorithm for UWB channel estimation.In this paper, we describes the basic principle of compressed sensing, the basicprinciple of UWB system and the channel model of UWB system, and focuses on theultra-wideband channel estimation techniques based on CS theory.We first make the research on the basic Principle of the framework ofcompressed sensing theory in detail. Then we analysis UWB system and its features,with the characteristics of UWB channel estimation technology. We applied thedifferent reconstruction algorithm in compressed sensing to a channel estimation technology of UWB system, at last analysis the performance of various reconstructionalgorithm of the system by simulation. Theoretical analysis and simulation resultsshow that different signal reconstruction algorithms have their own feature, whenused in UWB channel estimation system based on compressed sensing and have theirown advantages and disadvantages.This paper focuses on the improvement of the OMP algorithm (APOMPalgorithm) for UWB channel estimation by simulation, The simulation results showthat the improved algorithm better overall performance in UWB communicationsystem based on compressed sensing.
