With the continuous development of network technology and thewidespread application of Internet, network security issues muchattention. Network security is not only a technical problem, but alsoaffect social security and stability. Intrusion detection system(Intrusion Detection System IDS) is to improve the network securitytechnologies, it is the technical analysis through the acquisitionof some of the key points in the network, thus abnormal or intrusion,a can network detection, alarm, the response dynamic securitytechnology.The intrusion detection system’s main function is to detect theintrusion behavior and identify intrusion events, in essence, is thenetwork behavior data classification. Normal network data is dividedinto two types of abnormal data, abnormal behavior is the intrusiondetection. Intrusion detection system on the host system, run theapplication and its status comprehensive, real-time monitoring,real-time detection and intrusion of the system of internal attacksand external attacks, take the initiative to identify intrusion,and issued the alarm. The above features make it play an importantrole in network security.In this paper, data mining technology introduced to the intrusiondetection technology can only enhance the ability of intrusiondetection, intrusion detection intelligent. First,introduced thetechnology of data mining and intrusion detection, and intrusiondetection application technology described. Secondly,the clusteringalgorithm and association rule algorithm of data mining technologyresearch. Clustering algorithm and association rules algorithm indata mining technology to intrusion detection, on the basis of theanalysis of the algorithm for the shortcomings of the algorithm, animproved K-means algorithm and improved Apriori algorithm, and theclassical data the set with KDDCUP99improved algorithm experiment,the algorithm detection rate and false alarm rate and improvementof the experimental data comparison, results show that the improvedalgorithm can improve the efficiency of detection, the accuracy rate;detection model based on improved algorithm and design,the same model is applied to a new intrusion detection system, intrusiondetection experiments, experimental results show that the new systemnot only can improve the detection accuracy and reduce the false alarmrate.
