Due to the scattering and absorption of the molecules, aerosols, dust, etc inthe complex composition of atmosphere, laser transports in the atmospherebefore reaching the laser warning receiver equipment, resulting in attenuation ofthe laser signal, so that the laser warning device received laser energy is reduced, and the performance requirements of laser warning receiver equipment isincreased in the practical application, so the study of transmission characteristicsof laser in the atmospheric environment has important significance. This paperstudies the scattering and attenuation characteristics of atmospheric aerosol havean effect on laser received by laser warning device. The paper using the Mie scattering theory simulates and analyzes extinction, scattering, absorption efficiency factor of the different types of individual aerosol particles with the curve of the aerosol size parameters in MATLAB, andsimulates and analyzes the space distribution law of scattering intensity andparticle scattering phase function of the aerosol particle with changes in thenature and scale; in addition, the attenuation, scattering, absorption coefficientchanges of groups aerosol with wavelength and radius are simulated andanalyzed, calculating laser transmittance through the atmosphere based on theatmospheric empirical formula. The obtained conclusion that laser transmittanceincreases with the visibility increasing; the experiment analyzes attenuation ofthe two wavelengths of the laser through the smoke, and reaches conclusion thatlaser atmospheric transmittance decreases with the increasing of smokeconcentration, two kinds of wavelength of laser transmission attenuation havesignificant difference in the smoke, The longer wavelength laser compared to theshorter wavelength lasers having a higher transmittance.Laser warning devices have many different types, no matter what type, ifthe laser through the atmosphere after great attenuation, laser warning deviceswill not detect laser, so the results of this study can not only provide the basis for the laser in the atmospheric attenuation calculations and analysis, but also havethe actual reference value to improve the performance of the laser warningreceiver equipment.
