The Automatic Stitching Technology For Image Sequences

Image sequences stitching is a video process method derived from image registration field, which can get panorama image scanning by a single moving sensor. Base on the image stitching technology inland and abroad, this paper proceed with the key technology such as image preprocessing, image registration, and image stitching. Moreover, the key technology image registration against to image sequences is studied.This paper analyzes the traditional image registration algorithm, i.e. the SIFT feature image registration algorithm. However, this algorithm has limitation when it is used for aeronautic image process. In order to solve this problem, this paper increases the image enhancement function based on the SIFT algorithm, which can improve the number of the extracted feature point and realize the accurate matching among feature point pairs. The stitching seam is removed by the improved gradually gray in and out algorithm, and a panorama image is obtained.In order to demonstrate the algorithm above, this paper provides every step of the analysis results for the detailed examples. The experimental results show that our algorithm needn’t change parameters setting according to the scene, and can get more perfect effect than the traditional algorithm along the image registration and image stitching aspect, which can be effectively used in the filed of automatic stitching of image sequences.
