The electrical signals associated with muscle contraction could be detected through the body surface non-invasive method,which is defined the surface Electromyography signal (sEMG).Stimulating the muscle nerve with constant current stimulator produced the evoked EMG. EMG signal is a weak signal generated by the muscle fibers. With the rapid development of computer control technology and digital signal processing technology, more and more people search into the field of EMG signal in muscle physiology. There is a very important research significance in muscle metabolism, rehabilitation medicine, sports and neuromuscular disease diagnosis. How to effectively extract the EMG signal is a very challenging research topic because the EMG signal is such weak electrical signal.The article used the Ag-Agcl material to design a new type of generalization electrode, with which the weak ECG signals could be effectively extracted. First, deeply analyse the generation mechanism of surface EMG, then do a detailed analysis of the development and performance of the electrode and a detailed exposition of the EMG signal measurement principle. Then, do a intensive research on signal processing algorithms. Finally, research the hardware and software of the system in a great depth.The design of EMG evoked detector system is based on ARM9technology. The system mainly consists of three parts:signal acquisition, signal processing and stimulator. The detector uses ARM9as the basic processor, designing the surface EMG detection module on ourselves, and could do the real-time EMG acquisition, display and storage.Proved by actual test, the instrument has a full-featured, small-volume, cost-effective, simple to operate, easy to move, flexible and stable performance characteristics, could acquire the real-time signals of the spontaneous EMG signal and the evoked EMG signal. There is a huge opportunity in the crowd of office workers, athletes, and diseases such as muscular ridge, and has a broad application prospects and practical development significance.
