Facing the massive enterprise business data, the traditional Decision Support System has many problems, such as the insufficient access to the historical data, the difficulty of integrating the data of different data source, and the lack of effective tool of data analysis, etc. The function of the data warehouse is to provide the data for the decision analysis. Therefore, the design and implement of the Decision Support System based on the Data Warehouse is of great significance.According to the problems, including the query caliber is not unified, non-standard classification of business, the business analysis and Data Mining is relatively weak, based on the operational data that exist in the current GOLF operation system, this paper aims to build the GOLF Data Warehouse for providing a unified view of data, and build a GOLF Decision Support System in combination with on-line analytical processing and reporting for data display and analysis. The main work of this paper is as follows:Firstly, this paper analyzes the applications of optimization designing, optimization tools, theoretical basis of optimization technology and its defects.Secondly, on the choice of in the large table, the optimization of the traditional Data Warehouse technology can only reduce query processing time, or reduce the storage and maintenance expense, can not achieve both optimal results. To solve this problem, this paper analyzes and studies the traditional Data Warehouse optimization techniques, uses Horizontal Partitioning and Bitmap Indexing method of characteristics, proposes a new query optimization——HP+BIs method, which according to common query and certain algorithms, divides large tables of data warehouse into several Sub-Partitions, and creates appropriate Sub-Bitmap Index on these Sub-Partitions. The HP+BIs method is applied to GOLF Decision Support System. The operability and effectiveness of HP+BIs method are proved in experiments,.Finally, this paper introduces the design and implementation of the GOLF Decision Support System based on Data Warehouse. Related work has accomplished as follows:(1) analyze the status of GOLF and application of Decision Support System in the GOLF field, draw a conclusion that it is necessary to built Decision Support System based on Data Warehouse;(2) describe the entire development and design process in detail, such as needs analysis, development environment, data sources, system framework, process control, data modeling design, ETL data processing of the Decision Support System;(3) analyze the system’s various business topics in multidimensionality, mainly including the login screen, booking information, booking analysis, traffic information, product information, and financial settlement. During the practical application of the system, the results will be presented to policy analysts in an intuitive manner, and provide scientific decision-making reference to the decision-maker of the company.
