Moisture in substance is one of the important factors which determine itsphysical,chemical and biologic character.It has the important social significance andthe economic value to determination the moisture in substance accurately. Assubstances commonly used detection device for moisture content, moisture meter iswidely used in manufacturing, processing, transportation, storage and consumptionfields. In current market, the measurement accuracy of most moisture meters withstrain weighing transducer is hard increased, and the stability of temperature controlis poor.In view of the present situation, this thesis has developed a new moisture meterusing ultralow power MSP430F5438as the processing core. Using a high performancestrain weighing transducer, a high-precision Δ-Σ-type AD converter and dataprocessing technology to improve the accuracy of moisture meter’s measurement. Theprecise control of drying equipment of moisture meter is achieved by compound fuzzycontrol. Experimental results under laboratory conditions indicate that moisture meterfully meets the JJG658-2010Thermogravimetric Moisture Meters, with quantum200g,precision1mg, and realizes moisture determination error of0.5%and with goodstability, high sensitivity and reliability.The consists of this thesis are as follows: firstly, the effects of water content onthe substance are introduced, as well as the significance of detection of water, themethods for determination of moisture content and the current research status onmoisture meter. Besides, the constitution, work principle, design programs and themain technical indicators of moisture meter are also described. Additionally, thesoftware development environment of moisture analyzer is introduced. The hardwarecircuit and each functional module of software implementation of moisture meterhave been given in details. The research focused on the information processingmethod for moisture measurement. By using piecewise linear interpolation onnonlinear calibration of moisture analyzers, it can effectively improve theperformance under non-linear circumstances. With excluding gross error, mean of slipwindow algorithm by combining mutations and load tracking strategy on the datapreprocessing, and using compound fuzzy control algorithm to control temperatureaccurately and effectively. The measuring performance requirements of moisture meter are descriped, experiments under laboratory conditions on indication error ofdetermination, testing error, repeatability, and water testing, respectively have beencarried out.Finally, in the conclusion, the work of this thesis is reviewed, the innovation andshortages are generalized, and the improvement methods are proposed.
