Visible Light Communication (VLC) is an emerging optical wireless communication technology which is developed with emitted the white LED.LED has a high transmission power, electromagnetic interference and wider spectral range, the LED has a huge potential for visible communication development. VLC can provide not only indoor lighting illumination, and also can be applied to meet the demand for indoor personal network in wireless optical communication system.MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Out-put)technology uses a multi-emitter array and multi-receive array to achieve a parallel data transmission. When multiple antennas use the same bandwidth at the same time, MIMO technology improve the gain of the communication system by the number of antennas of the system transceivers, thus avoiding the bandwidth limitations. MIMO technology applied to the LED visible light communication will improve the channel capacity and the reliability of the channel, and reduce the error rate.Discussing the difference between single transmitter single receiver system and multiple input multiple output (MIMO) systems, this paper analyse the principle of based on MIMO visible communication and the characteristics of the structure in detail, discussing combining MIMO system characteristics with the feasibility of the binding assay. This paper first introduces the concepts and the basic theory of the visible light communication and the MIMO technology, and then discuss the key technology of indoor visible light wireless communication system, building non-imaging、imaging-visible MIMO communication systems basic models and visible light communication system with a wide field receiving device, analysing the existence and feasibility between the three. Finally this passage established imaging type MIMO visible communication system model, transmission a series of pulse signals, and successfully identified the original signal. By simulation for analysing the relevant parameters in detail, and we able to optimize system performance parameters applied to the experiment.
