In the field of disease prevention and diagnosis, ultrasound imaging due to its non-invasive,non-radiation, etc., has become one of the most wide range of technology in the clinical use. However, in the imaging process, the ultrasound image will produce inherent speckle noise, thesenoise will make the edges and details of the image becomes blurred, and more difficulty to preventand diagnosis the diseases in the clinical. Therefore, the study of speckle noise reduction and edgedetails preservation of the algorithm is of great significance. For speckle reduction, first this paper studies some algorithms from domestic and foreignexperts, scholars, and focuses on MATLAB simulation of several classic algorithm and comparativeanalysis of simulation results. Especially the parameters of image effects are studied, theiradvantages and disadvantages are summed up. On this basis, a speckle noise reduction algorithmbased on extraction is proposed. It combines the advantages of several common algorithms. Ratedby simulation results and the Group of Experts, this algorithm reduces the computationalcomplexity for real-time processing of ultrasound images, while keeping the edge and suppressingthe speckle noise. Finally, a summary of the designed algorithm and some analysis of the existingproblems has been proposed. This algorithm has better effects on speckle noise reduction and edge preservation. And somebetter results expected are achieved. Compared to some of the complex algorithms, it has lowercomputational complexity, can be better applied to real-time ultrasound imaging system.
