The traditional array signal processing system is usually based on the multi-channelstructure. The system has high complexity and large size, and interchannel amplitude phaseinconsistency will produce systematic errors. While single-channel array has simple structureand small size, and there is no amplitude and phase inconsistency. However from single channelarray receiver, we can only get the average power of receive signal, the mathematic model isdifficult to establish. As a result, this paper began with time domain modle and frequencydomain modle of single channel array, reserched the high resolution direction of arrival(DOA)estimation and tracking method for single channel array which is applicable to wideband signalsand narrowband signals based on correlated and incorrelated signals environment. The mainresults and achievements can be summarized as follows:1. Establish a new mathematic model of single channel array--time domain modle. Weestablished a new time domain spatial-spectrum estimation modeling based on band-pass signalreconstruction theory, this model only requires the array outputs to be sampled one at a time by asingle receive channel. The model proposed is applicable to wideband signals, narrowbandsignals, correlated signasl and incorrelated signals.2. Based on the existing Gibbs sampling, A new perfect sampling method was presented toavoid the burn-in of Gibbs sampling and its constringency was proved. The new mixingsampling method constructed evaluation function according to the samples. The new method canimprove the convergence rate and estimation precision.3. A new method, named interacting Markov Chain Monte Carlo(MCMC) particle filter, isproposed to track maneuvering target. The particles are sampled from the target posteriordistribution via direct interacting MCMC sampling method, which avoids sampleimpoverishment and increases the robustness of the algorithm. Moreover, the interacting MCMCparticle filter algorithm accelerates the MCMC convergence rate via propagating each particlebased on both its history information and the information from other particles.4. Research the DOA estimation method of single channel array--Bayesian maximum aposterior DOA estimation method. Concerning the problem of low resolution and precision inDOA estimation for single channel array, perfect sampling method is combined with Bayesianmaximum a posterior parameter estimation. A new maximum a posterior DOA estimationmethod based on perfect sampling is proposed. Computer simulation verified that the proposedalgorithm has high performance and resolution, compared with the traditional perfect samplingalgorithm, This novel algorithm not only keeps the excellent performance of the original MAP algorithm, but also reduces the convergence time. We also consider the case where the sourcenumber is unknown, the RJMCMC method is used to jointly estimate the source number andDOA. Theoretical analysis and computer simulation verified that the proposed algorithm hashigh performance and resolution.5. Concern the problem of low and precision and bad real-time performance in DOAtracking for single channel array, a new method of maneuvering target DOA tracking based onimproved particle filter for single channel array system is proposed. Based on the array signaldata model, the tracking equation was established. Then, the improved particle filter was used,Finally the time varing DOA are estimated on time based on this algorithm. Theoretics analyseand simulation results show that method presented in this paper can realize joint source numberand DOA tracking. Besides, it can realize joint DOA tracking and beamforming. Compared toMCMC particle filter and subspace tracking methods, the proposed method in this paper hashigher precision and speed of convergence.
