Computer Aided Geometric Design have a wide application in engineering and computer vision design field. Now more and more people thought of the importance of it. Traditional non-uniform rational B-spline technology (NURBS) just can handle a simple topology structure, can’t deal with arbitrary and complexity topology mesh well. The surface subdivision technology can solve this problem with it characteristic of arbitrary topology,and it also have the advantages of affine invariance, has been one of the key technologies for surface modeling theory.This thesis is based on the Loop subdivision. Modified the geometry rules of new edge vertex and new vertex of the original mesh by adding a variable parameters. Different geometric rules can be got with different parameters. The new method can keep the continuation of the surface and control the mesh shape easily as well. The research of adaptive parameter Loop subdivision is based on the adaptive subdivision rules of dihedral angle, proposed a mesh crack elimination method of1-neighborhood split by modify the cracks elimination strategy in mesh subdivision process. It can be concluded that parametric Loop adaptive subdivision method can not only complete surfaces connection and get high surface quality, but can get different surface subdivision model based on the input parameters, and reduce the number of surface cells, increase the efficiency of surface subdivision.
