The communication system based on the Shannon source-channel model. The channel suffers from two major kinds of impairments:(1) inter-symbol interference (ISI), which is due to the multipath propagation;(2) noise/interference. The noise can be internal to the system,or external to the system, due to interfering signals originating from other sources. The net result of the two impairments is that the signal received at the channel output is a noisy and distorted version of the signal that is transmitted; noise/interference, especially CCI cause the noisy part and ISI cause the distorted part.The function of the communication receive process is to operate on the received signal and deliver a reliable estimate of the original message signal to a user at the output of the system. The key is to make use of the spatial-temporal structure of ISI and CCI. The spatial-temporal match filter/time reversal filter—minimum variance distortionless response (MVDR) time reversal beamforming operate to achieve MV optimization/CCI suppression under the constrain condition (DR) of multipath compensation/ISI eliminatioa The spatial-temporal match filter is an optimizing signal estimation in the minimum mean square (MMSE) sense.In the real ocean waveguide which is a multipath channel, the property that wave propagation is time invariant is a spatial-temporal structure property, which is robust and should be fully utilized. In this paper, it take the advantage of it to design a spatial-temporal MVDR passive (algorithm) time reversal match filter/beamforming optimizing the driving vector v(φ,r,z,t).The ultimate goal of communication is to recover the original signal. It should accomplish at the same time that ISI elimination, CCI suppression and original signal protection. This paper also focus on the following three aspect work:(1) spatial-temporal broadbandIt is a basic result of Shannon capacity theory that broadband is better than narrow-band. The signal propagating over the channel is multi-frequency on the time at the transmitter. The multipath in the space causes the multi-orientation. In this paper, transmitting array and receiving array are both double spiral line array (DSLA). The transmitting signal and receiving signal are both spatial-temporal broadband signal.(2) spatial-temporal evolutionBuilding the state-space model, which include the measurement equation and the state evolution equation, it develop the state-space constrain convex optimization MVDR spatial-temporal filter/estimation.(3) complex improprietyThe communication modulate signal/interference is improper/noncircular.The ocean noise also may be improper/noncircular. In this paper, we making a complex augment of the signal and noise bringing in the complement correlation and use the widely linear estimation method.
