A Content Distribution Platform Research Based On Cloud Computing Platform

At present, the IT industry is facing more and more competitive. CDN service providersshould not only guarantee the quality of service, and must consider reducing all kinds of cost,in order to gain greater market competitiveness. CDN service provider for construction andmaintenance costs account for a large proportion of the spending every year. But theseinfrastructure and has not been fully used, in business growth is difficult to meet the needs ofrapid expansion. So CDN-clouded change more and more attention by people.Cloud computing is the next generation of CDN architecture hot topics. Its essentialcharacter is the resources according to the need to use and elastic flash. Cloud uses thevirtualization technology to make a unified resource pool, for providing infrastructure ofCDN according to CDN’s need. Cloud uses the management interface to monitor CDNs’load.Thus realize CDN infrastructure accurate distribution and elastic scheduling. CDN usingcloud platform, can integrate the existing resources, Reduce construction cost and improve theability of expansion.This paper introduces a design deployed in cloud computing virtualization technology onthe basis of CDN solution. This paper mainly studies how to combine cloud computing thevirtualization technology to the existing infrastructure resources integration optimization,making a unified distribution and management of the resource pool, to provide accurate basisresources according to the need of CDN components. At the same time this system usingOpenStack API, making the cloud computing platform be able to monitor CDN load condition,and provide flexible resources scheduling. Finally this paper sets up a common streamingmedia system and builds a cloud-CDN of streaming media platform.This paper firstly introduces the background and research status of Cloud-CDN, thenrepresents the technology principle of cloud computing, CDN and streaming media, throughthe analysis and comparison, selects a suitable technical scheme, finally introduces theinstallation of the Cloud-CDN system and displays system main components.
