Device-to-Device (D2D) communication as an underlaying cellular network empowers rich multimedia application, improves local communication, and enables local services, which would bring out interference between cellular users and D2D terminals. Aiming at improving the rate of spectrum utilization and the performance of system, D2D will be indexed in the future specification of LTE-A in R12. In this paper, we focus on the research about interference coordination and resource reusing of D2D system.Firstly, the problem about the interference coordination and resource reusing of D2D sys-tem is introduced, and then the challenges brought by the interference in the hybrid network that D2D communication reuses uplink resource of cellular networks is elaborated. D2D system could enhance cell throughput and increase the rate of spectrum utilization. It is a D2D necessary prob-lem to solve that resource reusing strategy could achieve better system performance at the cost of bringing new interference. We first introduce an interference coordination strategy for D2D system. Then we design an optimal channel reusing selection algorithm for the single cell scenario which is based on Hungarian algorithm. The valid innovation of this chapter is using system interference as model objective and interference threshold as constraint of D2D accessing. This strategy could improve the system performance, that is, more D2D pairs and less interference in the system. And then, we study the disadvantage of one D2D pair reusing only one cellular user’s re-source. With other cellular users not interfered, the only reused user is intensively interfered. Because the cellular users are considered as primary users, the quality of D2D communication should be guaranteed. The interference will reduce the possibility of D2D successfully accessing. The interference averaging algorithm is one of the strategies increasing D2D accessing possibility and decreasing the system interference. It means that one D2D pair could reuse the resources of several cellular users, which could reduce the peak interference in the system. From this point, we present a new method of interference averaging and set up a new model using the concept of outage. In this method, we minimize the outage of new accessed D2D, and ensure the outage of cellular users under a threshold at the same time. The innovation of this chapter is breaking the assumption of one D2D pair reusing one cellular at one time, and presenting a method using out-age of D2D as system goal which could reduce the interference in the system and increases the probability of D2D successfully accessing. The strategy of D2D resource reusing and interference coordination is very important to guar-antee the quality of cellular communication. It is necessary to do research on it, because it would help researchers design the receiver, transmitter and the frame structure, which is significant in engineering.
