Robust control theory and its application of the control system has been an activearea. In an actual control system, most of the time the state of the system is not entirelypredictable. For these systems, researchers of this area concerned the observer-basedrobust controller. Since1980’s, the research on observer-based robust control for uncertainsystems has become a hot point of robust control.This dissertation focus on how to use the method of Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI)design the observer-based robust controller. Consider a linear system with uncertainty, theuncertainty described by norm bounded uncertainty description. The main work is as thefollows:In the observer-based robust controller, the author designed the uncertainties linearuncertain system according to the characteristic of the system matrix and input matrixcontents uncertainties, and then given the sufficient conditions for exponential stability ofthe closed-loop system, and also proved this conclusion.Using Lyapunov stability theory and the metchod of LMI, the author studied a classof observer-based robust control problem in which the system matrix, input matrix andoutput matrix with uncertainties. By constructing the observer and using its state in thefeedback control system, the author designed observer-based robust controller, and gavethe sufficient conditions for exponential stability of the closed loop system.
