With the development of science and technology, the research of micro-area isbecoming more and more in-depth. In the21st century, MEMS have been developingrapidly. More and more small parts are manufactured with the MEME technology’sadvances. These parts achieve complete functional by assembly. Currently, these smallparts are assembled by manual in many cases. This assembly method of low successrate, time-consuming and more expensive bring a serious impact on the development ofmicro-mechanical. Design a micro-assembly system for small parts of MEMS insuranceinstitutions, research the key technologies.The micro-assembly system includes the following sections: control systems,micro-vision system, bearing system and clamping system. Choose a suitable CCDcamera, zoom lens and data acquisition card by practical application requires. They cancomplete the parts’s locate and identify, provide visual guidance for the micro-assembly.The carrying systems include micro-bench and vacuum units, they can achieveclamping of parts and precise adjustment of location. The studying is focused on themicro-clamping system, design two grippers for different parts of insurance adencies,the grippers are mounted on a precision bench with three degrees of freedom. Design aclamping gripper for shaft and gear which is drived by piezoelectric ceramic,displacement is transferred through flexible hinge displacement amplificationmechanism. The gripper can monitor clamping force and complete parts’ moving bymicro-force detection. Design a vacuum gripper for the parts of surface roughness andirregular sheet. The part is picked up and moved by vacuum, the part is released up andassembled by atmospheric pressure. Design a complete pneumatic circuit, theadsorption is made by rubber and glass.This research build the foundation for micro-assembly system, provide a referencefor micro-assembly of differfnt parts, it is useful for micro-assembly’s development and application.
