With the rapid development of Internet and embedded technology, alarge number of equipment based on embedded technology begin to access toInternet, and data storage technology which based on the USB (UniversalSerial Bus) interface is the hot spot of the IT industry in recent years.Mobility and ease of data exchange is the basis of the digital technology.Mobile data transmission and storage stimulate the development of the ITindustry, and convenience to people’s lives.The subject of the use of dsPIC30F6014processor and peripheralinterface complete the design of embedded data storage and communicationmodule, a USB host control stored, network communication protocol basedon TCP/IP (Transfer Control Protocol/Internet Protocol) and otherfunctions are implemented in the hardware platform. The subject usingCH376S chip as the main controller chip, with low cost, low powerconsumption, fast speed as the standard, constructs the USB host memorycontroller, and using RTL8019AS as network control chip implements thefunction of data transmission through the network. It completes USB coredrivers and TCP/IP protocol stack is embedded systematically, andcompletes enumeration, configuration of the equipment, and implements theprotocol of network communication. In order to improve the real-timeperformance and efficiency, system program uses C language, part of theprocedure programs with the C language and assembly language mixed.After the software and hardware design and debugging, this system hasachieved primal the design targets. The test results show that: the system isable to achieve fast data storage, and implements operations of read and writethe data successfully, to achieve USB host function module designrequirements, and the data can be realized point-to-point communicationthrough the network. The completion of the subject, in these fields of non-PC applications, forexample, control areas and outdoor detection equipment, provides the basis oftheory and practice for achieve USB data storage and network communication,with a wide range of practical applications value.
