Wheeled mobile robot is an important branch of robot. It involves mechanical design, intelligent control, information procession, detection and conversion. It refers to machinery manufacturing, auto control, computer science, electronic science. It’s one of the key researches on intelligent robot now.Firstly, this article introduces the wheeled mobile robot’s franle form briefly. Analysis the advantage of wheeled mobile structure relative to other structure. Illustrate differential wheel and omni-directional wheel for deduction and calculation of struct control requirements.Secondly, this paper designed the robot control system hardware system. It includes the ARM processor as the core of the system controller, velocity controller dc motor, intelligent line patrol instrument design. In this section, detailed explain every module hardware selection, circuit unit design.Finally, analysis robot movement control combined with path control. obtained method of line and arc track’s controlling. Gives soft design method and flow chart of intelligent line patrol instrument and velocity controller DC motor.The characteristic of this design is using integration concept for robotics control system. Each function module of perfect robot movement control system is designed apart. Establish the foundation for future research.
