Study On The Terminal Technology Of The Integrated Access System Of Communication Grid

Regarded as the third-generation Internet, Grid is capable of integrating resources locating at different places into a uniform platform, thus achieving the purpose of sharing computing, data, storage, information and knowledge resources. For the sake of achieving efficient use and management of the network communication resources, this paper brings forward Communication Grid on the basis of Grid Technology. It mainly contributes to the study of Terminal Technology on the fixed users’broadband network integrated access network according to the characteristic of Communication Grid. Grid Terminal we designed not only be capable of multimedia communication but also secure and dependable.To begin with this paper, basic knowledge of Grid is introduced. On the basis of Grid, the concept of Communication Grid and architecture of the Integrated Access System of Communication Grid are presented. Also, the function and comunication modes of the system’s main parts are explained respectively. Then, this paper stresses study on the design and implement of the Communication Grid Integrated Access System Terminal. In order to satisfy the requirements of Terminal on collaboration, security and reliability, we design a new kind of control instructions and fulfill communications of terminal-to-terminal and terminal-to-resources referring to SIP. Testing results show that Terminal can implement the function of communications on terminal-to-terminal and accessing to internet resources. As one part of Access System, Terminal can cooperate with other modules to implement Policy Access and Policy Routing function, thus providing a safe, reliable connection and QoS guaranteed services for colloquy, and that reflects the controllability of Communication Grid and the flexibility of Network Management.
