Cigarette Congestion Detecting Based On Video Tracking

The cigarette conveying system is an important part of tobacco enterprisesproduction achieving logistics automation, which connects to the cigarette pack unit andloaded roll sealing machine, to achieve the near and long-distance cigarette automatictransmission, and cigarette will eventually be fitted into loaded roll sealing machine tocomplete the work. Because the installation of cigarette conveying system isunreasonable or inconsistent matching and other reasons, sometimes the cigarettecongestion problem will happen, especially on high speed, the cigarette congestion willhappen easily. Although tobacco enterprises adopt various methods to improve thecigarette conveying system, the congestion phenomenon does not completely avoid,once the occurrence congestion will seriously affect production run smoothly, in orderto improve enterprise’s production efficiency and economic benefit, timely discoverythe congestion is currently tobacco enterprises problem.This paper studied a method about the cigarette congestion detection systembased on video tracking, the system uses video monitoring system for the cigaretteoperational status of the surveillance, it analysis the cigarette trajectory by using particlefilter algorithm in the monitoring process, and make the cigarette on target tracking,once the occurrence congestion, the system will track the trajectory of cigarette changesto make judgments on the phenomenon, then through Profibus-DP transmission to thescene alarm, a signal alarm to notify staff promptly eliminate malfunction.In the cigarette experimental tests, the system of the cigarette congestiondetection have good results, when malfunction happened, it can quickly and timelywarning.
