As the rise of3G technology and mobile Internet, the requirement of wireless video communication market has been more and more widely. At present, wireless video communication applications have become the core component in development of wireless communications business. But because of the limitation of bandwidth and the channel is not stable, the traditional network video coding and the transmission technology cannot be applied to the wireless platform directly and effectively, which makes wireless video transmission face the data packet loss and error encode problems. It can’t effectively guarantee the transmission quality. Aiming at the transmission and application of wireless mobile video, with H.264/AVC video compression coding standard for the object, this paper mainly makes research on the key technology of multiple descriptions video encoding/decoding, in order to enhance the error resilience of video transmission in the area of wireless. The research work is as follows:(1) Aiming at the mismatch problem in video multiple description coding, this paper puts forward an improved adaptive redundancy embedding algorithm. The algorithm combines the code flow distribution from two descriptions, firstly obtaining the redundant information by coding, and then embedding the redundant information in two descriptions according to weights of different macro blocks. The experiment indicates that the complexity of improved algorithm is low and can reduce the rate of mismatch in video coding/decoding process effectively.(2) Aiming at transmission streaming being large about video coding/decoding fault-tolerant technology and network bandwidth limitation to some extent, this paper proposes a multiple descriptions video coding algorithm based on the interested zone. The algorithm extracts and transfers the interested zone and uninterested zone of video images respectively, giving key protection to the interested region of video images, and enhances the fault-tolerant of interested region, in order to receive the complete video streaming data packets in decoding, eventually obtaining better interested region video.(3) Aiming at the current video coding research being limited to wireless theoretical level, but it has not been promoted in the actual transmission and application field. We simulate the multiple description method of redundancy embedded in video coding with simulation technology and do some statistical analysis according to the simulation results. The results show that the wireless video in the transmission process can achieve better video protection. The multiple description coding is very suitable for wireless video communication. What’s more, the results verify the effectiveness and suitability of the algorithm.This paper has an important reference value to the study and application of error resilience techniques in the video coding of redundancy embedded and interested region on multiple description coding.
