The Design And Implementation Of Police Station Information Management System

Today, with the rapid development in information technology, technology brings great convenience to our life. At the same time, the high-tech crime is becoming more normalized, which brings more pressure to the work of public security organ. The" Golden Shield Project" has been carried out more than10years, the public security information construction has already covered the major area of police work, and it has obtained apparent effects in crime strike, security management, masses serving, team construction and so on. But in local police stations, the equipments and professional technicians are not enough, and the informationization application level of basic police is low, so the information construction level of local police station is not very high. Whether local police station’s work is good or bad affects and restricts the whole public security work.The work of local police stations directly faces to the lives of ordinary people, so the police work is very complex, and each job needs to be carried out by local police. With the increasing complexity of police affairs, the traditional local police stations are unable to meet the requirements of modern policing development. In order to adapt to the public security information construction process, an information management platform is needed to meet basic police requirements, which can improve informationization system application ability of police in local police station, and strengthen police affairs’ handling capacity of public security information network unit.In this paper, ASP.NET and other advanced technology is used to design a basic police affairs management information system with work management, network learning and information sharing based on B/S structure. The system is based on the actual needs of basic police work informationization and police informationization construction, and a development road for basic police affairs informationization is supposed to be explored in constructing and using this system.Through this platform, the local police can log in this system anytime and anywhere, and complete their most police work. They can store and collate document (such as the reporting materials, recent work plan, routine police records, etc.), manage their own uploaded file, submit relevant documents to the system administrator (police station directors and instructors). In this way, the local police can accumulate policing processing experience and improve the work efficiency gradually. The police can also login this system to learn information technology knowledge and improve the level of their own information technology through storing and collating learning achievements.The basic police affairs information management system also provides a virtual communicating center to the general police for working and learning. The construction and management is implemented by system administrators, and the police can browse police station movements, recent police work progresses, information technology learning tasks and other information, and they can also put forward their own views, share learning achievements and handling police work experience, which can promote knowledge exchange and cooperation among the police. The system administrators collect materials and set original task state, and they also organize the police. In the basic police affairs information management system, the handling process of simulation on typical police tasks is an important application of virtual communication center. It can effectively improve unity and standard of handling police work, and improve efficiency and level of handling police work.This paper discusses on "the basic police affairs information management system", and it describes the design and implementation of the basic police affairs information management system. In the design, some beneficial attempts have been done, while there are also some shortcomings, which need to be improved in practical application, but the researching work still has some certain significance, which is as follows:1. The system is a web system based on the internet technology, which adopts B/S three layer structure modes, using ASP.NET as its development platform, and improves information management efficiency of local police stations.2. The system allows any node of Internet to access, which can solve the accessing problems when the police are in a remote office, so the system has better practicability.3. This system achieves the basic design requirements, and its management interface is clear, and its operation is simple and convenient4. The system combines police work with information technology learning, so the police can practice in work. The study can promote police to use information technology in work, and support "Golden Shield" of public security organs to be carried out, which greatly improves the capability of using information technology to solve police affairs.The basic police affairs information management system can provide strong support to public security informationization construction, in the situation that informationization level of police stations is relatively low, they practice their team based on their own, improving police informationization technology application capability, advancing informatization level and reply capability of police work handling in the current environment.
