Nowadays, wireless sensor network (WSN) attracts more and more attentions in the front edge technology, which has raised a dawn of revolution in post-PC time. The WSN is a self-organized and distributed network system which is composed of a mass of tiny sensors nodes that has the sensing ability, the computational ability and the transmissive capacity. It can be real-time sensing and acquiring some kinds of information of monitored area. It has broad prospects for development in many areas such as public safety, environmental protection, intelligent transportation, intelligent household and experimental teaching. Therefore, the data acquisition system research for WSN is very meaningful.The thesis firstly introduces the related research background, system architecture and key technology of WSN, TinyOS and the development language nesC. Then it analyses the DYMO routing protocol, FTSP and TDOA algorithm, designs neighbor discovery algorithm, applies them into acquisition systerm. On this basis, combined with the characteristics of WSN, data acquisition systerm for WSN based on TinyOS is designed and implemented in this paper. Based on the platform of MICAz and MIB520, the system is deployed on three layers:sensor node, sink node and monitoring teminal. Secondly, discusses the software design of sensor node and sink node, and gives the sofeware architecture of both. Using DYMO organizes sensor nodes to form the self-organized network. Thirdly, designs and implements all kinds of sensing functions of the system, which contain Sensing Temperature, Neighbor Found, Network Topology, Acoustic Ranging and OfflineLog. Finally, the system including sensing functions, point-to-point networking and robustness is tested. Experimental results show that the system has the ability of measure data accurately, self-healing and robustness. In addition, this acquisition system has strong expansibility.
