Slurry Neutralization Tanks are very important equipments in metallurgy process. The purpose is to make slurry which was dealed with acid first neutralized with base. Then adjusting the quantity of base control the pH value of the tanks.The control of neutralization tanks is mainly the control of pH value.pH value is the main technology index during the process of slurry neutralization. The pH value of the tanks must meet the technics requiment,or it will highly influent the quality of the product and the efficiency of the process..Besides the raw stuff continuous production and economic benefit were affected,even the environment.So it has vital significance to control the pH-value and meet the technics requiment.Due to the serious nonlinear in the neutralization process, It not only brings a great of difficulty,but also wastes neutralizers.Therefore, pH value is considered one of the most difficult variables.At present, most neutralization process was controlled in manual mode.The quality of the product is instable and the process need a lot of energy.The work of labor is very intensive. To solve these problems,This paper based on a large-scale extraction of cobalt nickel project, analyzes the characteristics of the pH control and study the strategy of control.At the same time, design and develop the computer control system of slurry neutralization tanks.The detail research works are as follows:(1) Analyze the craft of slurry neutralization and build the math model.According the characteristics of neutralization, The control strategy.was studied based on this nonlinear characteristic This paper put forward a kind of feedforward&feedback control strategy based on variable gain PID control algorithm The resule was analyzed with Simulink. Compared with different method,it confirms that the strategy is feasible.At the same time,the disturbance was eliminate effectively. At the end of this paper,logic interlock control strategy of regulating valve,feed pump and base pump.was designed.(2) Based on the above control strategy, the structure and function of control system were designed. American Honeywell PKS system is adopted as the system platform. On this system platform, the control programs was developed, such as input and output data program, logical chain control program, variable gain PID control algorithm and feedforward&feedback control program.Besides,the monitoring interface was developed, such as alarm information display. (3) In the computer control system, we make simulation experiment of the object model and the control strategy.That verify the computer control system is workable. At the end of the paper, relevant function test was made, such as monitor function,alarm function.
