In the era of rapid development of information, higher standards have beenrequired in the transmission speed and quality of information. With low transmissionloss, long transmission distance, strong ability of anti-jamming and long life,optical-fiber transmission has become a pillar of digital communication systems. Inrecent years, optical-fiber was widely used in public management, spaceborne radar,airborne radar and many other fields.The overall framework of optical-fiber transmission system and the hardwaredesign are described in this paper. With FPGA being the control center of the design,HFCT-5944being the optical transceiver, the optical-fiber transmission systemaccomplishes the functions of transferring radar data, network command and serialcommand using the single-mode fiber. Then we introduce the design of optical interface,network interface, and the external communication interface in the photoelectricconversion board. The paper discusses the design of system’s internal software andcontrol in detail. Through the eye test we finally confirm the system’s transmission rate.After practical working test, the system reaches the design requirements and worksstably.
