| Cooperative relay technology is considered an effective approach to mitigatingmulti-path fading, and the analysis of channel statistical properties is significant in theresearch and design of wireless relay networks. The Generalized-K (K G)distributionhas been verified to be able to model a composite wireless channel consisting ofmultipath fading superimposed on shadowing, and it also makes mathematical analysismuch simper. In this thesis, we analyze the channel characteristics of wireless communicationsystems with relays overK Gfading channels. First, this thesis presents the end-to-endperformance of dual-hop wireless communication system with CSI-assisted relay overi.n.i.dK Gfading channels. The moments of the end-to-end SNR and thecorresponding moment-generating function(MGF) are derived in closed form. Severalperformance criteria are studied, such as the average symbol-error probability, theoutage probability and the average capacity. The performance of two-way AF relaysystem over i.n.i.dK Gfading channels is also analyzed. The closed-form expressionfor the MGF of the end-to-end SNR is presented, and utilizing that the averagesymbol-error probability and the outage probability are studied. |
