Satellite mobile communication is a communication system which serves satellitemobile operation. Antenna technology, as one of the key factors of wirelesscommunication field, is essential to the whole configuration and the function of satellitecommunication system.In the paper, the design theory and implementation method of the circularlypolarized antenna have been in-depth researched, then three different types of circularpolarization antennas, which are quadrifilar helix antenna, microstrip circularlypolarized antenna and crossed dipoles, are analyzed. The crossed dipoles is chosen to befurther studied after that.The circularly polarized Yagi-Uda antenna and it’s feed network are mainlydiscussed in this paper, as well as the practical measured ways. In this paper, aninnovative3dB directional coupler is designed based on the theory of the branchdirectional coupler. Then the antenna configuration and the feed network is optimized asa whole. The measured results show the antenna not only has both good impedance andaxial ratio characteristics but also is with high gain and wide beam, which satisfy theplan need.
