Research On Video Detection Technology For Traiffc Flow Based BF561DSP

Vehicle detection is one of the critical parts of intelligent transport technology.The paper researches on video-based vehicle detection technology with the target ofgetting traffic flow, vehicle speed and other traffic information. It has certainengineering application and reference value.The paper researches the common method of vehicle detection, and improves theperformance of the virtual-coil-based vehicle detection method in shadow suppressionand vehicle statistics aspects. And then the design proposal of the traffic flow detectoris given on this basis. The hardware platform of the traffic flow detector is designedbased on BF561high performance DSP, which includes processor, memory, videodecoder, video encoder and camera. On the software side, in order to realize thereal-time detection of traffic flow, the paper designs the whole software framework,writes the relative program of hardware drive, video capture and vehicle detectionarithmetic.In the end, the performance of the system is also tested, and the results show thatthe system has a good detection accuracy as well as real-time feature.
