Measuring and control of frequency sweeper is the process of collecting, processing, displaying, control, data access and data analysis. This paper advances a design of virtual measuring and control software for digital frequency sweeper based on the study of digital synthesis frequency sweeper working principle and virtual measuring and control technology. The design of virtual measuring and control software extend the function and enhance the universal and flexible property of traditional frequency sweeper. It has significant practical value.Analyzing the current development of virtual measuring and control technology of instrument, the paper proposes a plan for design of the control and analysis software for digital frequency sweeper., including data processing, control, data access and user interface. The paper gives a detailed design implementation of various control and analysis software, describing relationship of modules and critical program flows. To realize RS-232and USB2.0interface communication, the paper designs the communication interface software. The paper completes program realization and debugging according to specific requirement in order to realize the function of the software.Experiments show that this design can realize the control of lower machine through the soft panel of PC and accurately analyzes the frequency characteristics of the circuit network.
