The interactions of the chiral with plane wave are of great theoretical significanceand wide applications in the fields of radar remote sensing, airplane stealthymaterial,biomedicine and nanometer material science. The main work and results inthis paper are as follows:1. Using the spherical vector wave functions, the internal fields and scattered fields ofthe chiral sphere are expressed in terms of the spherical vector wave functions.Based on the boundary conditions, we obtain the scattering coefficients of the chiralsphere by the plane wave.The RCS of the chiral sphere to the plane wave iscalculated, and the results are compared with the published to examine the validityof the theory and programs. The influence of the chiral parameter, the radius of thechiral sphere on RCS are discussed numerically.2. Based on the spherical vector wave functions, an analytical solution to the scatteringof a chiral-coated conducting sphere and chiral-coated dielectric sphere with planewave is presented. The total area fields of chiral-coated conducting sphere andchiral-coated dielectric sphere are presented. The influences of the chiral-coatedspherical shell and the chiral parameter on RCS are discussed numerically.3. The rainbow angle of chiral dielectric sphere which incidented by different linepolarization plane wave is analysed with geometry optics method, and exam thecorrectness by mie theory and degenerating to isotropic. The influence to rainbowangle is numerical analyzed with different chiral parameter、radius of particle、refractive index, respectively.
