Two kinds of slant linear polarization omni-directional antennas have been studied in this paper. The simulation results have a good agreement with that of the experiment. These two antennas have been found the actual applications.First of all, some traditional omni-directional antennas were introduced in this paper. Based on the theoretical analysis of the broadband slant polarizer and biconical antenna, a45°slant polarized omnidirectional antenna covering8-18GHz has been designed. To get best polarization conversion from vertical to slant45degree, three layers of printed circuit polarizers were adapted. The distances between the layers were optimized by HFSS. The antenna radiator is consist of twin cones. Then, the antenna prototype was made and measured in microwave anechoic chamber. The measure results agreed well with the simulation results. In addition, a high gain slant polarized omnidirectional antenna operating on1500-3000MHz was presented by use of the biconical antenna array. The shunt-feed method was used in the antenna design. This antenna was well tuned to have wideband characteristic and high gain.
