In recent years,products detection technology based on machine vision is widelyused in a wide variety of industries. Meanwhile,it appeared more and more theapplication of machine vision in the fields of banknotes defect detection. As importantmachine inspection equipment,Banknote Sheet Quality Inspection System has highefficiency of production capacity. While,Banknote Sheet Quality Inspection Systemgenerates a large number of false waste because of the limit of detection precisionwhich brings heavy pressure to the successive production process. Therefore,anoptimized defect detection system is urgently required to increase the good product rateof Banknote Sheet Quality Inspection System hence relieves the pressure to thesuccessive production process.This paper creatively combined the high efficiency of production capacity ofBanknote Sheet Quality Inspection System and the precision of an optimized defectdetection system together. Therefore,a defects inspection system based on machinevision is designed and implemented.At present,the system has been implemented and tested. Various functions achievethe desired effect. The practice proved that,the implementation of the system caneffectively improve the efficiency of Banknote Sheet Quality Inspection System and thesuccessive process of production. Hence the miss alarm rate and the cost of humanresources is reduced.This paper first introduces related technical principles of machine vision in theprinting industry defect detection. Feasibility analysis and needs analysis are made inthe light of actuality in the related fields,according to which,overall design and moduleare designed. System was implemented by adapting C/S structure,C++language andSQL SERVER2000technology.Finally,interface decision and test are introduced,and future works are concluded.
