Cranioplasty is common in clinical surgery. According to the traditional method, the doctor firstly observes the size and shape of skull defects, makes the titanium mesh plate by hand before or during the surgery. Then, compares it with patient’s head defect and modifies it, as far as it consistents with the patient’s defect site. Finally, the doctor fixes the plate with screws. This approach not only increases the surgery time and risk, but also the effect of the artificial model is not good enough. With the development of CT scanning technology and computer-aided designing, the titanium digital personalized artificial body becomes the trend of cranioplasty. This paper combines CT imaging technology with curves and surfaces reconstruction techniques, and designes a Cranioplasty Model Reconstruction System.This paper studies the CT image processing and curve and surface’s reconstruction techniques, then designes a contour connecting algorithm based on B spline, realizes the smooth connection of the lost contour and skull contour. At the same time, the repaired curve has the characteristics of local modification, which provides condition for the realization of personalized skull repair body. Finally, this paper finishes the reconstruction of B-spline surface, then indicates it with OpenGL.
