In recent years, cloud computing had developed rapidly. Because it can integrate infrastructure, and application platform, improve utilization of the infrastructure and resource through virtualization technology, it is more and more respected by IT correlative enterprises and institutions, but also come more severe challenges. To ensure the efficient and stable running of cloud computing, it needs a perfect resource monitoring mechanism. The cloud is not a new technology, but the integration of grid computing, distributed computing, network storage, virtualization, load balancing, and a series of traditional development of computer technology. This paper focuses on the cloud computing platform and resource monitoring technology on a wide range of theoretical and technical research. In this paper, two open-sources distributed monitoring tools Ganglia and Nagios were used to monitor and alarm on each physical machine and the virtual machine’s CPU, memory and network resources as well as services in the cluster. The information collected from each host and integrated monitoring information of many machines, providing an intuitive visual monitoring interface.Due to the variety of machine monitoring and monitoring indicators and monitoring data is collected in real time, this article selected the Hbase to store monitoring data. HBase is a Key/Value-based mapping database based on column mode, only has simple insert, query and other operations, and does not have a complex relationship between tables. With scalability and compatibility error, Hbase is very suitable for monitoring data as kinds of simple variable large amount of data storage applications. This article eventually realized the basic monitoring and alarm warning to all nodes in the cloud and certain services, and provide a unified page display, and the persistent storage of monitoring data, timing publish reports and query capabilities.
