This article is based on the frequency of the microwave photonic crystal bandgapcharacteristics. Depth detailed studies were carried out to improve the basicperformance of the microstrip antenna. Use of simulation software HFSS repeatedtheoretical research and success through a lot of experimental work to design amicrostrip antenna based on high-impedance surface of microwave photonic byphysical test to verify the theoretical results. The antenna is given to the research inthe technology field.On the development process of “Antenna Based on High-impedance Surface ofMicrowave Photonic”, fabrication and testing process,the main work is reflected inthe following points:First, This article from the point of view of practical application and comparison,and in-depth understanding of the advantages,thorough analysis of the performanceparameters of the microstrip antenna,and disadvantages of microstrip antenna.Mcrowave photonic crystal frequency the bandgap characteristics to the developmentof “Antenna Based on High-impedance Surface of Microwave Photonic”,final designand production of this new type of microstrip antenna. The antenna greatly improvethe performance of the antenna, optimization of the antenna the reflection loss curveand improve the gain of the microstrip antenna, reducing the backward radiation ofthe microstrip antenna.Second, In the process of design, carried out in-depth research of the basic theoryof microwave photonic crystal and microstrip antenna. Microwave photonic crystal isa man-made, with a periodic structure, it is the most important characteristic is thefrequency band gap characteristics. In this paper, the photonic crystal one-dimensional,two-dimensional waveguide validation photon verify microwave photonic crystalfrequency band gap characteristics. Through research and analysis of the effective surface structure of the basic equivalent parameters. Research microstrip antennadesign theory, learning the basic performance parameters of the microstrip antenna,the need to design microstrip antenna with papers.Simulation results: Microstripantenna and microstrip antenna based on high-impedance surface of microwavephotonicresonant frequency of11.75GHz, and the the microstrip antenna gain of4.7dB design the antenna gain of5.4dB, improve0.6dB, or so, the design of theantenna to the radiation significantly higher than microstrip antennareduced.Third, this article making a mcrostrip antenna based on high-impedance Surfaceof microwave photonic and measuring performance parameters. Use double-sidedcopper clad laminate production process, thermal transfer method and corrosionmaking a high impedance surface of microwave photonic crystal microstrip antenna.Measurements of high impedance surface of microwave photonic crystal microstripantenna and microstrip antenna reflection loss curve using a vector network analyzer(the Amway Corporation Anritsu37269C type). Build a the gain test system to test theantenna gain, Test equipment: the the Agilent E8257D20GHz microwave signalsource, the Agilent E4418power meter, Rui Beisi company LB-20245-SFdouble-ridged horn standard antenna (operating range of2.0GHz-24.5GHz) test sitesfor the alloy mesh shielded room. Reflection loss curve and antenna gain significantlybetter contrast microstrip antenna by measuring the results of analysis, and researchresults in the technology field to give physical evidence.Finally, microstrip antenna microwave photonic crystals used in a very attractiveprospect.
