With the development of computer technology, more and more attention has beenpaid to the three-dimensional geological modeling (3DGM), which has been a hotspotof geological visualization technology in the geological area. Three-dimensionalgeological modeling has been widely used in mineral exploration, resource predictionand evaluation system. With the research background and platform of the11thNational Science and Technology Supporting Program Subject “Large-scale locationprediction technology development of Crisis copper mines in Tongling area”, takingFenghuang Mountain in Tongling, Anhui as a case, Methods and application ofthree-dimensional geological modeling and geologic mapping technology for thelatent mining is researched in this thesis. The main contributions of the thesis are asfollows:Analysis and research have been done on3d geological modeling theory,3dgeological modeling software, the international repeated development methods of3dgeological modeling software Surpac, and geological mapping technology as well.3d geological modeling methods and skills have been discussed, and the3dgeological data types of surface modeling, entity modeling, and hybrid modeling arestudied, and then the modeling method of three types of data are elaborated in thispaper.The linear octree optimization are studied, especially for linear octree data types,coding technology, coding compression technique, neighborhood search algorithmsand, the establishment and generation of its spatial retrieval algorithm are studied, andthis thesis has basically come up with the optimization algorithm and accomplishingmethod.Based on the comparison analysis of the Surpac automatic drawing and documentdrawing, with the combination of both advantages, the complicated geologicalmapping technique has been put forward according to repeated development of Surpac;and the development of mining automatic drawing program is explored, and theautomatic drawing menu is edited, so that the complicated mine geological mappingprocess can be simplified. The mapping results show that it has more outstandingadvantages in terms of mapping quality and convenience,compared with thetraditional mapping. This technique is also suitable for other mining geological mapping work; and the specific application examples of mining are given in thisthesis.An experimental system is designed to support the octree3d geological modeling,in this system, various linear octree optimization algorithm have been used, and theoctree coding, compression coding, domain search, bounding sets, and spacetechnology optimization in the index system are tested and verified in thisexperimental system. furthermore, using the specific mining data, this thesis hascome up with the three-dimensional entity graph of rock mass and strata. The effect isconsistent with the imagination, and the space and time efficiency has been greatlyincreased and accuracy is also well guaranteed.
