With the rapid development of social network service in the21st century,the rumors as atypical social phenomenon has made its dissemination methods and transmission routes take placegreat changes. To establish an online social network model by the generation mechanism of the realonline social network and the rumor spreading model based on the spreading characteristics ofrumors have important practical significance on the study of propagation behavior on the complexnetworks. In addition, previous studies have rarely involved in the control of rumor spreading onthe complex networks, however, the above-mentioned work on how to effectively control the spreadof harmful rumors have certain guiding significance. Based on this, the main research work of thedissertation is as follows:1. To further study of the topology characteristics and its dynamic behaviors on the realonline social networks, this dissertation proposes an improved online social network model basedon its generation mechanism which can characterize the degree of closeness of relationship betweentwo friends. Simulation results show that this network model conforms to the structurecharacteristics of the real online social networks, but the degree distribution of network does notobey a clear power-law distribution.2. A new rumor spreading SEIR model is proposed considering both the spreadingcharacteristics of rumors in the real online social network and the epidemic dynamics models withlatency. This model considers that it will becomes propagate state due to the numerous contactswith the spreading nodes if the previous state of immune is latent state. Dynamical evolutionequations based on the SEIR model are established, and the theoretical solution of SEIR model canfurther verify the correctness of the established model.3. An efficient immunization strategy-Important Acquaintance Immunization strategy isgiven for the inhibition of rumor spreading, which based on the acquaintance immunization as wellas the targeted immunization and combined with the node contraction method of evaluation of nodeimportance in complex networks. Various immunization strategies are utilized in the computersimulation for the evolution process of rumor spreading before and after immunization. Simulationresults show that the important acquaintance immunization strategy is an optimal scheme to solvethe inhibition of rumor spreading in the online social networks.
