With the development of the external ballistic doppler radar, radar signal processing technology has developed quickly. In the past, we generally use time domain and frequency domain method to process the signal. In time domain graph or frequency domain graph, we can observe the signal’s amplitude, frequency and the time the signal appears. But the traditional analysis methods can not express the relationships between the signal’s time and frequency at the same time, so the time-frequency analysis has become the main mean of the modern signal processing technology.First, based on several commonly methods of time-frequency analysis, such as short time Fourier transform, Winger-Ville distribution and Hilbert transform, I use matlab to simulate the extraction of multi-signal and has proved STFT’s superiority. Then according to the interaction of temporal resolution and frequency resolution, I put forward two kinds of methods, interpolation method and add virtual signal method to improve the frequency resolution. Then, I do the signal’s short time Fourier transform by adding the different window functions, and solve the key problems of the frequency resolution. In the end of this paper, I combined the application of the data acquisition card PCI-9812, based on the above theories and simulation analysis, and designed a friendly human-computer interface of time-frequency analysis by Labview.
