With the development of society, there has been increasing interest on switched systems; many useful results have been reported. As a very important class of switched systems, switched delay systems have great theory significance and wide range of practical engineering application. Tracking control is one of the basic problems in control theory and control engineering, which has an important position in the study of switched delay systems. However, up to now, results on such issues have been rarely found. By resorting to the stability analysis and control synthesis of switched systems, this dissertation investigates the tracking control problem of switched delay systems. The main contributions are summarized as follows:The problem of state tracking control for switched nonlinear time-delay systems is studied for the case that the delay is time-varying. Based on Lyapunov theory and free weighting matrix scheme, an exponential stability criterion (LMIs) for switched nonlinear time-varying delay systems is derived. Then, feedback tracking controller for the systems is investigated, so that the system can track the reference model in a permitted the error range. The problem of exponential H∞output tracking control is addressed for a class of switched neutral systems with time-varying delay and nonlinear perturbations. First, the exponential H∞output tracking control index is introduced. Then, by resorting to the average dwell time approach and Newton-Leibniz formula, a new Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional is proposed to establish sufficient conditions for exponential stability and H∞performance. An explicit expression for the desired exponential tracking controller is also given. The concept of exponential L1output tracking control is addressed for a class of positive switched linear systems with time-varying delay. First, the output reference model is given. The input of reference model in the augmented system is regarded as the disturbance input. Second, the exponential L1performance index is given. Then. based on average dwell time method and Lyapunov theory, in the form of linear matrix inequalities, some new delay-dependent criteria guaranteeing exponential stability are developed. At last, we use the proposed output tracking control law and designed switching law based on average dwell time to satisfy the L1model reference output tracking performance.
