The Philosophy Study Of Affective Computing

With the high development of information technology and continuously enhance of computer, how to get better artificial intelligence has achieved more and more attention of scientists."The question is not whether intelligent machines can have any emotions, but whether machines can be intelligent without emotions", Professor Minsky had emphasized the importance of emotion as early as1985. Professor Picard in MIT Media Lab emphasized that the emotion is a natural part of society, the people will use a very natural emotion when they interact with computers. So, if we want the computers have truly intelligence and adapt us, they should have the emotion recognition and expression skills, which we called intelligent emotion.Affective Computing is not only a new field that has received growing interest in harmonious human-computer interactive and artificial intelligence, but also a new multi-disciplinary intersection of information science, intelligent science, nerve science, physiology and psychology, cognitive science etc. My research project based on the Marxist theory and the scientific development theory, from the perspective of philosophy of science, analysis principles of affective computing, and explore the philosophy theory of affective computing in an interdisciplinary analysis way. And analyze social values and philosophy theory in applications of affective computing, the deepening theory of affective computing and technical application of affective computing also promote the development of intelligent user interface or friendly user interface.The conclusion is that although there is a lot of controversy, but the controversy exactly illustrates the historical inevitability of affective computing. And which will has broad application prospect in the future, and the affective computing philosophy theory reveal the tendency of changing from technical determinism to the social construction, and the tendency of industry civilization to the ecology civilization. Affective computing is not only contribution to the power of economic development but also social development, social civilization and ethics development. With the development of artificial intelligence and human-computer interactive, the intelligent user interface or friendly user interface, we will have further promotion of the realization of informational human society.
