These years, LTE standard is adopted in more and more communication applications.As the uplink modulation scheme of LTE, SC-FDMA is also widely used in manyapplications. SC-FDMA is Single-carrier Frequency-Division Multiple Access.Compared with traditional OFDMA, SC-FDMA has lower PAPR, and1~3dB lowerPAPR than Multi-carrier modulation. SC-FDMA has two main advantages:single-carrier low PAPR and multi-carrier robustness.Frequency offset is one of the longtime problems for communication systems. Intransmission scheme, the frequency offset can cause the errors at receiver’s samplingand demodulation, increasing BER, which degrades the system performance.Traditional frequency estimation method cannot satisfy the need of frequencyestimation for the applications of LTE systems. So an efficient frequency estimationmethod which can be used in LTE standard is needed.This dissertation proposes a frequency estimation and correction scheme based on thecombining the iteration of IDMA and SC-FDMA system for LTE systems. The mainworks of this dissertation is list as follows:(1) Join the SNR evolution method in IDMA and SC-FDMA system togetherto design an iteration-based SC-FDMA algorithm, which can estimate thefrequency offset of a blind channel combined with multi-path, noise andfrequency offset.(2) Performance analysis method for the frequency offset transmission inSC-FDMA system and iteration. Provide the formula for SNR calculationfor IDMA, SC-FDMA combined system.(3) Perform a series of experiment for Iteration-based SC-FDMA algorithm toverify and study its performance. According to experiment results, weoptimize the proposed algorithm.
