Research And Design System Of Value-added Service Based On WAP

Mobile communication and Internet are two focuses in the information industry now. The combination of these two is WAP. It is a set of standards for developing applications in mobile network, as the same in Internet.This paper discuses the WAP VAS system model(browsing, downloading, location based services) based on a sound research of WAP. Based on the VAS module, it attempts to design and research application platform of WAP VAS. It includes three aspects. First part, sets up application platform of WAP VAS(establishing WAP server, setting up testing environment). In the second part, it implements to design platform. The server terminal can build browser interface and storage the content of database dynamically by programming. Finally, the paper presents the plan that pictures can automatically switch its scale adapting for mobile screen’s scale and the plan of code transformation.
