With the rapid economic development, the requirements of personal property security have increased fast which contribute to the rapid development of security products. Among all the security products, the intelligent video surveillance system has become a research hotspot all over the world because of its great natural advantages. Intelligent video surveillance technology uses computer vision-related methods to analyze the video data for the target detection, identification, classification and tracking without the aid of human intervention. Basis on these, the further analysis can be taken to analyze the behavior of the target. So not only it can work as traditional video surveillance system, but also can response on time in unusual circumstances. Thanks to the rapid development of Internet technology, intelligent video technology gradually gets rid of geographical limitations, and provides useful information to users fast and intelligent through the network. RFID is a non-contact automatic identification technology, which automatically recognizes the target and obtains relevant data through RF signal without human intervention. RFID can work in a variety of complex harsh environment. RFID technology is widely used in various fields in recent years because of its low cost, easy to install, easy to use, etc..Put the RFID tags on the important items, and then install RFID equipment near the surveillance cameras to identify whether there are important items going through the monitor area. RFID can help the intelligent video surveillance systems to identify, detect, and track the target. Based on this principle this paper present RFIDCam which combines RFID with intelligent video surveillance system. The system fully uses the features of RFID technology, and achieves the target tracking with RFID automatic identification and camera dynamic collection. RFIDCam improves system intelligence, reduces data redundancy, reduces the workload of the actual operators, improves video surveillance system effectiveness and safety in unattended environment and protects user’s privacy effectively.Firstly, this paper analyzes the characteristics and key technology of intelligent video surveillance system and introduces the existing principles, functions, applications of intelligent video surveillance and some classical image processing algorithms, especially for target detection, classification, identification, tracking methods. Then this paper studies how to separate the key frame which contained suspicious target, detect suspicious target automatically by using RFID technology without aid of humans and proposes the system design scheme of RFIDCam. Finally, this paper shows actual experiment results which verify the feasibility and effectiveness of RFIDCam.
