The curved surface construction based on partial differential equation is one of the important methods in surface modeling of computer graphics, and it has got very significant application in designing transitional surface, free-form surface and functional surface construction. The characteristic of this method is to set the curved surface as the solution of some partial differential equation’s boundary-value, and what the surface made from this is called the Partial Differential Equations Surface (PDE Surface). The surface is so natural and smooth that it is suitable for art design and functional surface construction.This paper makes research of trimming technology based on the analytical method of partial differential equation surface, and builds up the human body’s wound geometric model. Through this way we convert the nature research of wound into the research of the its corresponding parametric equation, not only simplifies the research work on the wound, but also provides a reference about other similar studies in medical research. The major research work of this paper is as follows:Firstly, this paper gives a detailed introduction in research status and industry application of PDE curved surface method, especially focuses on the significance about applying this approach to wound which is running through medical science, and discusses the feasibility of wound geometrical model based on PDE.Secondly, it presents classification and solving methods of partial differential equation, and the concrete steps in surface construction by this way. Thirdly, it has research on the trimming technology of complicate curved surface construction based on PDE, and it provides important reference for other parametric surface. Then the fourth chapter gives the surface and inner geometry model of wound, and solves the problem of the recovery which varies with treatment in better way through setting control vertex, making the model have more preferable real-time property.In the end this paper constructs the human body’s crural geometrical model by the mentioned above method, and introduces the triangulations subdivision in space based on plane triangulations subdivision in triangles model produced by unorganized points. Then on the basis of that this paper proposes a computational formula of wound’s surface area and volume, providing a reference for getting other properties. This paper makes it clear that curved surface construction based on PDE does have very broad application value in medical field.
