Providing the students with appropriate information resources is the key of raising the quality and efficiency of research learning. Under the environment of Information-based education, how to recommend the personalized information to the students is particularly important.Based on the in-depth study of active-push status at home and abroad, firstly, this paper discussed the conception and classification of active-push; secondly, investigated the necessity of pushing information actively. Through the statistics and analysis, the learning material requirement model of research learning have been constructed, further, both the learning period-based recommendation algorithm and item-based collaborative filtering algorithm were studied.Based on all of this, the paper designed the overall structure of the active-push learning support system; a coupled hierarchical distributed development model was used. After the analysis of the business processes of the system, the detailed function for the students and teachers were designed separately. Then use the provider mode to guarantee the database’s portability and the system’s expansibility. Meanwhile, this research completed the development and realization of the consumer information module, public information module, material recommended module.At present the prototype of the active-push learning support system has been completed. The system can effectively active-push the personalized information resources to the students who participate in the research learning. All these functions of the system provide a favorable personalized information service space for the students, and also it can effectively stimulate the students’learning motivation and cultivate students’ explore consciousness.
