The research of people counting system on intelligent video surveillance is to count people of the surveillance area with the technology of intelligent video surveillance, it includes the core technologies of motion target detection, human identification and human motion tracking, it involves many fields of computer vision technology, pattern recognition technology and artificial intelligence technology, it is a frontier subject of full of challenging, it has applied prospect of expanse.For the requirement of open environment people counting, base on intelligent video surveillance I design the people counting system, and research the core technologies of motion target detection, human identification and human motion tracking in detail. The main contents are as follows:For the technology of motion target detection, by analyzing the common technology of motion target detection, combining with the feature of the system, I realize the method of motion target detection which is based on background difference and the method of base on mixture Gaussian background model to update the background model real-timely.For the technology of human identification, I propose the method of human identification, which is based on BP neural network, and introduce the image characteristics abstracting, network training and identification.For the technology of human motion tracking, by way of creating the motion equation of the human, I achieve human motion tracking of basing on extended kalman filter. For the question of the self-blocking of multi-body, by way of creating the color model of the people who enter the surveillance area, and update the color model real-timely, and match tracking multi-body with the function of probability density.Base on the core technologies of above-mentioned, at last I achieve the people counting system which is based on intelligent video surveillance. After the debugging and the experiment, the method can count people accurately, it has stability very well.
