The wireless sensor networks (WSNs), which combines the phsical world with the logical world, represents the future of the computer science. We can get any information we need from the sensor nodes surrounding us. However, similar to the Internet, due to its growing influence, security issues are attracting more and more attention.Recently, more and more researchers turn their attention to the security issues of the WSNs, and many security protocols focusing on different environments have been propsosed. However, when researchers evaluate the performance of the security of these protocols, they just do the theoretical analysis based on the protocol descriptions. But for different protocols, the analytical methods are different. The method used to protocol A is not appropriate to protocol B. That is to say, there lacks uniform security testing framework and approach. Therefore, due to this security requirement, it is necessary to do a further research on the issue of security testing framework and approach for the WSNs protocols.In this paper, we propose an object-oriented attack model for the WSNs protocols, which is a multi-attribute and layering formalizing model. It provides plenty of attack information including the attack process, security threats, impact of the attack and so on. It is the bases of the quantitative evaluation of the security of the testing protocol, which can help testers understand the protocol attack. Based on this attack model and consistency testing of protocols, we present a security testing framework to evaluate the security performance of the WSNs protocols. This testing framework consitsts of four components:object-oriented attack formalizing system, IUT (Implementation Under Test) formalizing system, Comprehensive Protocol Formalization System and consistency-class testing system. Finally, we choose an example to implement the security testing according to the testing framework. The results prove its availablility and effectiveness. It has better adaptability and universality, and can be used widely.
